Inspired by Marbella’s original Golden Mile – the six-kilometre palm-lined avenue flanked by ultra-exclusive mansions and penthouses that links Marbella town and Puerto Banús – the New Golden Mile broadly covers the coastal area between Guadalmina, on the Marbella-Estepona municipal boundary, and the town of Estepona. With space yet to develop, it offers some of the last new frontline beach developments available for sale in Marbella, and is increasingly in fashion.
The inland side of the New Golden Mile is rather more affordable, and home to a rising standard of frontline golf and hillside villas, and modern apartment complexes with great country and sea views. Literally two minutes from the beach, and a little more to Estepona and San Pedro Alcántara, the New Golden Mile is home to a horse-riding centre, five racquet clubs and several golf clubs, with many more nearby. The area is also well served by restaurants, spa hotels, beach clubs and shopping.
